Yayasan Suria JB(YSJB) – We delivered what we promised and fast too!
Further to our visit to the above on 7th Jan 2022 (https://www.facebook.com/1513241468889521/posts/3096240040589648/), we immediately got down to work when I personally visited the site on 19th Jan 2022 and gave the greenlight to proceed as the awnings are in bad shape after a 20-year period.
As our funds are from the public, we called for 4 quotations from contractors, finally narrowing down to one, sweezed him until dry, told him it was for charity and YSJB will be paying. From RM18k, it was down to RM15,225.50, a price that was out of this world for awnings(front/back) plus roof leakings plus whatever needed to be done to ensure no leakings after that.
We thank the contractor for giving us such a good price and I shall personally supervise the project as YSJB is accountable for every cent spent.
We hope to have the ‘new’ Sherun Home ready just before Chinese New Year or thereabouts.
Anyone wishing to bring CNY’s(Chinese New Year) cheers to Mei Ai, the darling featured on CNA(Channel News Asia) can hop on the wagon and help us with the funding of the awnings.
