🗓 12 & 13 June 2025
What a relief and joy to see steady progress in Mr Lee (Ah Chang)’s condition after his heart surgery!
🫀 12/6:
When we visited him, the first thing he asked was, “What day is it today?” — a good sign that he’s still alert and recognises us.
Although he couldn’t speak yet (due to the breathing tube), he looked okay. Doctors planned to remove the balloon in his leg that afternoon and reduce his medication slowly.
A slight fever was present, but they assured us it’s a normal post-op reaction. 🙏
😴 He seemed tired and sleepy, which is understandable — we continued to monitor and update.
🌈 13/6:
Good news!
The tube from his throat has been removed — he can now talk, drink water, and even eat some porridge with watermelon! 🍉
Other tubes will be reduced gradually too. His recovery is going well, thank God!
💪 Physiotherapy will be arranged soon to help him regain strength.
He is recovering very well.
Just now, he almost finished his porridge.
He said that today he started physiotherapy.
They got him to sit up and stand, and also taught him some hand and leg exercises.
Just now, Datuk Dr. Nazeri came to check on him.
He said that his condition is very good.
If everything goes well, he might be transferred to the normal ward in 2–3 days.
The doctor said it’s better not to stay too long in the ICU.
🏥 He is still in ICU, but we hope he will be moved to the normal ward soon.
We’re all so happy things are going in the right direction! ❤🌹👌👍💪
🙏 We thank all donors — some 2,850 kind souls — who made this remarkable surgery possible.
May God bless all of you abundantly for your love and generosity. 💖✨
Let us continue to keep Mr Lee in our thoughts and prayers for a smooth recovery and discharge soon. 🙏
Note:
Photography is not allowed in the ICU, so we’re unable to share any photos. 🙏
