Public holiday? What holiday? 😅
Because hunger doesn’t take a break — so neither do we. 💪❤
This morning, with volunteer Isiah Ong by my side, we got to work early — knowing that many Poor & Needy families were already messaging, begging for food.
📱 Message after message. 📞 Call after call.
The desperation was real. Their groceries? Finished. Gone. Zero.
By 10.00am, we loaded up 9 Food Banks and hit the road! Each is worth about RM210.🚚💨
First stop —
📍 Serene Park: 5 Food Banks given out to families with nothing left in their kitchen.
📍 Then to PPR Flats, Kempas: 4 more Food Banks — received with trembling hands and grateful smiles. 🥹🙏
Next, we zoomed over to:
🥖 Village Grocer @ Paradigm Mall (under TLFP – The Lost Food Project) for surplus bread.
🥯 Then to Kenjo Bakery @ The Crest, Austin (also under TLFP).
Still not done — we rushed to:
🍱 Bistari Indah to collect 150 packs of cooked rice — lovingly sponsored daily by Shoku-ya Japanese restaurant.
Back to our HQ to distribute the bread and rice to waiting families, and then…
📍 To Seri Alam to visit Makcik Dayang, a true hero. 🦸♀💔
She’s caring for 10 children — not hers.
The parents? One ran off with another woman. The other, with another man.
She was left with the children… and we were left with one choice:
To help. Because that’s what humanity looks like. 💕
✅ We paid for her RM650 monthly house rental for Jun.
✅ Gave her cooked rice, bread, and buns
✅ And THEN — surprised all the kids in the neighbourhood with Walls Ice Cream Galore! Generously sponsored by Walls Ice Cream!🍦🎉
You should’ve seen their faces 😍 — children so poor, some barely eat proper meals…
And suddenly, ICE CREAM?!
It was magic. It was joy. It was love in action. 💖✨
No fancy office. No red carpets. Just roads, sweat, and the drive to serve.
On this public holiday, while many were out relaxing —
We were out doing what we do best:
Serving with Love & Humility 🫶
