Yayasan Suria JB (YSJB) – Helping undergraduates to fulfill their dreams!
It was some 50 ago that I was in this similar situation when I was studying in 1971/1974 at Serdang Agriculture College(now UPM – Universiti Putra Malaysia) and have to finish an assignment for graduation. Approaching prospective clients/employers was not an easy task as most of the time, we were rejected or employers were simply not interested in undergraduates as we don’t bring any benefits to their companies.
Understandably so, when I was approached by undergraduates lately, I willingly obliged having gone through it myself – to make life easier for them to complete their studies.
One was in Feb 2021 for her Masters at UTM(Universiti Teknologi Malaysia), Skudai, Johor and the other one in Dec 2021 for her Bachelors at UTHM(Universiti Tun Hussein Onn Malaysia), Batu Pahat, Johor.
Both online interviews were done after I pulled over by the roadside in the Toyota Hilux while I was busy running around distributing food to the Poor & Needy.
YSJB is honoured to be chosen by these two undergraduates as part of their graduating course works.
As you know, I am game for anything and jumped on to these opportunities even though I know nuts about webinars, video conferencing, etc but after simply pressing here and there and being guided by the undergraduates, I was surprised and delighted all went well.
They were so thankful to YSJB for allowing them to be featured.
The UTM girl passed her Masters and the UTHM girl has just presented her assignment to her lecturer.
We wish them well and we were delighted to be part of the journey in their lives.
