An SOS and a race against time to feed Poor & Needy students

Yayasan Suria JB (YSJB) – An SOS and a race against time to feed Poor & Needy students!

4.11 pm 28/6/2022:
SOS received from Warden of Hostel at Netherlands Maritime University College, Botanika @Tebrau Bay, Jalan Bayu Puteri 2, Taman Bayu Puteri, 80150 Johor Bahru, Johor.

70 out of the 460 students are without proper food, some surviving on Maggie mee for the past 2 months.

Went there in heavy rain to deliver ‘goodies’ – Promac milk powder (24x1kg), coffee (12 bags), tea (12 bags), instant noodles (15 packets), mee hoon (20 packets), sugar (6 packets), soap (36 pcs), rice (2x10kg), Panadol (30 stripes), condensed milk(6 tins), biscuits (25 packets), baked beans (1×24), Sardines (1×24), Cooking oil (1kg packets x17), bread/buns (36 pieces) and isotonic drinks (12×1.5l).

Immediately after delivery, all disappeared quickly to ‘feast’ on the ‘goodies’ given, perhaps they are really hungry!

Delivered & done:
5.34 pm.

Tomorrow, we shall be giving them dressed chickens, eggs and more rice after being briefed by the Warden of the lack of proteins for the students.

Messages received from Warden just now(8.33 pm):
“The kids really appreciate your kindness.
Thank you so much Sir.”
Time is the essence – we delivered at lightning speed!
